About FiberFox

Thank you for visiting the FiberFox Workshop. I'm Brian, and I am the FiberFox. Born and raised in Chicagoland, I am now a Texan in training.

My journey in Fiber Arts started with crocheting at about 12 years old, knitting at 15, weaving and finally spinning at 19. I spin on both spindles and wheels (electric and treadle). Lately, I knit mostly with yarn that was handspun using the Daedalus line of electric spinning wheels. Getting involved with the Daedalus online and Zoom community is how I came to know David and Rebecca Giles, the owners of Daedalus.

My interest in 3D printing actually started in the theater. I've been involved in community theater most of my life, both on stage and behind the scenes as a stage/prop manager. Back in 2020, I started using 3D printing to create stage props. Before I knew it, my friendship with Dave turned into mentoring as we discussed the technicalities and possibilities of 3D printing.

Three years later, FiberFox Workshop takes that 3D printing knowledge and combines it with my love of fiber arts allowing me to bring you high-quality printed items specifically designed for the fiber arts community, starting with colored bobbins in brand new patterns for the Daedalus Sparrow, based on Dave's original bobbin design.

I look forward to serving the Fiber Arts community for many years to come.
